About The Grande Prairie PCN

The Grande Prairie Primary Care Network, in beautiful Grande Prairie, Alberta – a city rich in cultural and economic opportunities, and a great place to raise a family – was formed in 2010 to work with local primary care physicians in the delivery of primary healthcare services. The PCN provides innovative and collaborative initiatives that improve communication, increase coordination of services, and enhance medical clinic practices to better meet the needs of the community.

This position is with the Grande Prairie PCN FTE: 
Status: Part-Time Permanent Hours per Week: Monday to Friday 6pm to 10pm

Primary Location: Grande Prairie PCN Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Position Summary

The Custodian works to ensure that public and private spaces within the Grande Prairie Primary Care Network are kept neat, tidy, and sanitary. A variety of equipment and cleaning supplies are used to ensure the job is completed efficiently.

The role is a part-time permanent position working Monday – Friday from 6:00pm- 10:00pm

What you will do...
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles into appropriate waste and recycling bins and ensure that receptacles are kept clean and free of smell
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean when necessary
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning supplies
  • Clean, dust, and sanitize furniture where possible
  • Clean and dust ledges, light fixtures, and other hard to reach places
  • Wash windows, mirrors and glass surfaces, ensuring they are free of streaks
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and ensure that soap and paper towel dispensers are well-stocked
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Notify management of any repairs that are needed to ensure the issue is resolved promptly
  • Adhere to the daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning list, Appendix A
  • Other duties as required
What you need to succeed...
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Ability to understand Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to follow directions closely and accurately
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience of 3 years (preferred)
