What We Do
- Our kinesiologists work with the patient on treatment plans focused on getting patients moving, building/regaining endurance, strength, balance, flexibility, and reducing fear of movement
- Education on impacts of exercise on the individual’s persistent pain

What We Do Not Do
- Weigh patients nor use weight as an indicator of health
- Personal Training
- Physiotherapy
- Support high-frequency appointments (weekly or biweekly)
- Adequate time is needed between appointments to assess efficacy of exercise plan
Screening
Unrestricted Exercise or Physical Activity
- Stable Health Conditions
- With BP meds – <160/100
- Without BP meds – <144/94
- Shortness of breath with overexertion
Progressive Exercise with Avoidance of Examples
- Lifting limitations – post surgical/injury
- High impact
- Vigorous exercise
Not Appropriate
- Resting BP <161/101
- RHR >99bpm
- O2 saturation: level should be above 90%
- Unexplained shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pain
- Acute injuryUnstable health conditions
