Position Summary:
The Physiotherapist will take a proactive approach to help patients improve and maintain their level of physical performance and ability to function independently; prevent and manage pain, physical impairments, disabilities and limits to participation; and promote fitness, health and wellness. The Physiotherapist works collaboratively within the Persistent Pain Program’s multi-disciplinary team to develop the program’s service delivery, education, and research.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • BSc in Physiotherapy from an accredited physiotherapy program at a recognized university
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent
  • Experience use of electronic medical records, and with multi-disciplinary team and diverse populations preferred
  • Successful completion of a national physiotherapy competency exam
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Alberta
  • Canadian Orthopedic Division Level II Upper/Lower Quadrant or equivalent preferred
  • IMS, acupuncture, or trigger point therapy certification considered an asset
  • Must possess and present a clear criminal record check
